The funeral business was purchased in 1992 from the Lee family, who still own Potburys Furniture Shop and Auction rooms.

The original Funeral staff, Arthur Passey and George Parsons, were retained to run the business which operated from part of the first floor of the furniture shop plus a Chapel of rest in another part of the town.

Following the retirement of Arthur and George in 2000, the business moved to new premises in Sidmouth, having acquired the old fire station in the high street.

These premises were sensitively renovated to incorporate new offices, garaging and a chapel of rest.

The business has since acquired new vehicles including a hearse and limousine.

Under the management of Andrew Downham, coupled with their excellent premises and facilities, the business is able to provide a very high standard of service to the Sidmouth and East Devon Community.
